- Le CELL ne fais quasiment pas de postprocessing sur les films bluray à l’heure actuelle, mais des recherches sont en cours.
- Pas d’upscaling pour les DVD.
- l’iPod ne fonctionne pas avec la PS3.
- Le RemotePlay avec la PSP dispo avec la version 60Go fais passer la résolution de la PS3 en 480p; le débit estimé pour transférer la vidéo a la PSP est de 1Mbps, cela vous permet de controler la PS3 avec votre PSP. A l’heure actuelle, les jeux et les films bluray ne sont pas supportés.
- Le transfert des jeux PS1 de la PS3 à la PSP se fait via un simple cable USB.
- 6 pages simultanées ouvertes maximum pour le navigateur web, 64Mo de mémoire vive sont dédiées au browser, a la messagerie instantanée et au XMB, et ce même pendant les jeux.
- L’installation de Linux crée une partition séparée de la partition PS3. Après installation, un menu de boot vous proposera un choix entre le XMB ou Linux. Vous pouvez choisir un autoboot sur un des deux.
- Les développeurs de SCE préparent un SDK pour des applications XMB et PSP. A l’heure actuelle, seuls les applications signées numériquement sont supportées par l’OS PS3. Linux PS3 quand à lui, permet le lancement de n’importequelle application.
