The picture quality of this television is superb. The anti-reflection coating on the plasma is outstanding. I have a very bright room with lots of glare, and it is rarely an issue despite the glossy screen. The reviews are right that THX mode is a bit on the dim side, but in a dark room it is more than bright enough. I find that I use the standard mode more often than the THX mode. VierraCast is a nice little gimmick, but not necessary at all. The sound quality from the actual television is atrocious, so don't plan on using it as a standalone unit; surround sound is a must! I am still very happy with this TV after 2 months.
