Choisir une TVHD
C’est fait, je viens de commander ma première TV, c’est d’ailleurs la première tv que j’achète tout simplement, les autres étant des récup. J’ai donc décidé de me faire plaisir et de prendre un modèle semi-haut de gamme : la dernière de chez SONY, 32W4000, comprendre 32″ (81cm de diagonale) série W, équipée du nouveau processeur d’image Bravia Engine 2.
J’en profite pour vous indiquer pourquoi j’ai choisi ce modèle, pour ceux qui hésiteraient encore et ne sachant par quel bout commencer.
Le premier critère de choix, et le plus simple, est de se fixer une diagonale, pour mon modèle en 32″ (81cm de diagonale), il faut grossièrement multiplier par 2 à 2,5 la diagonale pour obtenir la distance yeux – écran. Ayant un recul d’environ 2,5 à 3m, j’aurais pu prendre un 37″ ou un 40″, mais je ne voulais pas non plus m’exploser les yeux. Une image trop grande ayant tendance a me donner facilement des maux de tête, j’ai donc privilégié la taille minimum.
Les autres critères de choix sont plus techniques. Au milieu du baratin de commerciaux (temps de réponse, contraste, etc) auquel je ne me fie plus trop, je me suis penché sur certains fonctionalités de cette tv, comme les capacités de l’entrée PC qui supporte le Plug’n'play jusqu’en 1920×1080, soit la résolution native de la dalle. Il faut faire attention à certains modèles qui proposent des résolutions farfelues sur l’entrée PC (ex: 1280×1024 sur une dalle 16:10 ??) au cas où vous voudriez y brancher un ordinateur. C’est mon cas car je vais utiliser cet écran comme écran unique et gagner de la place dans mon 45m² (prévoir un clavier souris sans fil).
edit: l’entrée VGA ne supporte en PnP que le 1368×768 mais il est toujours possible de forcer le 1920×1080 en bidouillant, l’entrée HDMI elle supporte naturellement le 1920×1080.
La compatibilité des entrées vidéo 24hz est également importante car cela permet de regarder des films tels qu’ils ont été filmés par les caméras du réalisateur, un peu “comme au cinéma”. La plupart des TV actuelles supportent le 24hz, il est aujourd’hui labellisé “HD Ready 1080p”.
Cet écran dispose également d’un capteur de luminosité ambiante, et qui donc adapte la luminosité de l’écran suivant la luminosité de la pièce, gadget ? Je vous en dirai plus quand j’aurais reçu l’écran.
A noter aussi la compatibilité du tuner TNT avec les flux MPEG-4, soit la TV hertzienne haute définition, encore aujourd’hui, peu de modèles de TV disposent d’un tuner tnt hd en standard, ce qui est une bêtise à mon avis car le consommateur va devoir encore une fois passer à la caisse pour acheter un tuner tnt hd externe pour pouvoir capter des flux HD alors qu’il croyait pouvoir le faire avec son écran “HD Ready” …
Le dernier point qui intéresse ici nombreux joueur est le mode “100hz”, le modèle que j’ai choisi ne dispose pas de mode “100hz” supposé réduire la latence de l’image sur les jeux (effet de flou). Le débat sur le “100hz” est ouvert, certains aiment, d’autres non, certains ne voient pas de différence. La seule fois ou j’ai pu voir le “100hz” en action est sur un film, et l’effet sitcom etait dérangeant, des artefacts présents à l’image et une étrange sensation d’accéléré. Sur les jeux, l’effet ne serait pas visible et procurerait de bons résultats.
Pour cet écran, j’ai préféré privilégier la qualité d’image a ce mode “100hz”, le tests des numériques affirmant que le contraste et le niveau de noir de cet écran étant meilleur que les plasma (j’attend de voir çà).
Le nombre d’entrées est important, ici 3 entrées HDMI (1 pour la freebox hd, 1 pour la ps3, et une dernière de libre). 2 péritels (pas d’utilité pour l’instant), 1 YUV (pour la playstation 2), 1 VGA (pour le PC).
En espérant que cela ait pu aider quelques uns, avant d’avoir choisi ce modèle, j’hésitais avec ce modèle 100hz Panasonic 32LZD85F mais j’ai finalement choisi Sony pour sa réputation en terme de LCD, le Bravia Sync, sa faible consommation et sa qualité d’image.
